The name, Bvlgari, was created by Greek jeweler Sotiro Voulgaris. Started off as a jewellery store in Rome in 1884, their jewellery was well received by the upper class consumers and the business has flourished since then. Bvlgari decided to expand their business and founded Bvlgari perfume in 1990s. They launched their first perfume in Switzerland in 1992 and throughout the years, Bvlgari perfumes have been popular among many customers. This results them to become one of the prominent competitor in the perfume market.

Bvlgari Aqva Amara, known as bitter water, was launched in 2014. It starts off with a bitter sweet Sicilian orange fragrance as its opening and a refreshing aquatic feels from the watery notes in the middle notes. The mixture of Neroli, Indonesian Patchouli leaves and Olibanum in the middle and base note will releases a floral and earthy scent, ending this cologne journey on a high note.
Bvlgari Aqvu Marine Pour Homme was launched in early 2008 and it is known to release a fresh and aquatic fragrance with a pinch of floral and citrus fragrance. A soft fruity and floral opeining came from the mandarin orange and grapefruit with neroli and petitgrain in the top notes. A strong and distinct fresh and salty scent soon takes over due to the water notes, rosemary and seaweed mixture as the middle notes. Lastly, a faint woody smell from Virginia cedar and amber at the base notes ended the fragrance on pleasant note.
Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme was launched in 2005 and is known to produce a sweet citrus opening with mandarin orange, orange and petitgrain as the top notes. A slight floral with distinct salty fragrance adds on top of the sweet citrus opening due to the mixture of seaweed, lavender and cotton flower. A woody and earthy fragrance from the mixture of woody ingredients as the base notes, giving wearer a masculine impression at the end.
